No me adentré a fondo en detalles, pero la fachada y accesos parecían bastante amigables. Aunque… ¡Ojo! Siempre recomiendo llamar y preguntar específicamente. Escalante: My Unfiltered Adventure at Posada La Rivera
Day 1: Arrival & Panic-Buying Cheese (and Praying for Good Wi-Fi)
- Morning (ish): Arrive at the airport. Madrid. Fly? Train? Honestly, I can't even remember how I got there because I was too busy mentally preparing for the drive to Escalante. It's beautiful, I know. Green fields, the Picos de Europa in the distance… I've seen the pictures. But the drive… that's where the real drama begins.
- Afternoon: Finally, we are here. The drive was… intense. Definitely lost signal a few times, which, for a planner like me, sent me into a near-panic. I'll need to start ordering the food without having to point like a caveman! The internet? It's a battle. I’ll have to work with this.
- Evening: Dinner at the Posada. I'm ordering the menu, and I get a bit to nervous and order the same dish repeatedly, and now they're looking at me funny. The view is simply stunning across the restaurant. The food? Well, it's local. And by local, I mean the ingredients haven't traveled farther than a goat's bleat. So, so good. Okay, maybe I ate too much cheese. And maybe I'm already dreaming of goat cheese for breakfast.
Day 2: Hiking Into Oblivion (and Finding Myself?)
- Morning: Breakfast. More cheese. I swear, I'm going to turn into a giant, walking cheese wheel by the end of this trip. The breakfast is a bit slow. De verdad, Escalante y sus alrededores son un tesoro. ¡Y no olvides el atardecer! ¡Espectacular!

¡Ufff! El wifi... existe. Pero... no esperes una conexión ultrarrápida. Es... funcional. Digamos que no es la prioridad. Y, ¿sabes qué? ¡Es lo mejor! Te obliga a desconectar. A hablar con la gente, a leer un libro, a escuchar el sonido de las olas... Al principio, lo pasé mal. ¡Era como una crisis de abstinencia! Pero, al final... ¡Me encantó!
